I have managed social media campaigns for a number of people, to one degree or another. I contributed to the Facebook and Twitter feeds for the Shakespeare Society for years, although those were set up before I took over publicity. I also set up their YouTube channel, providing much of the content. The Shakespeare Society’s Facebook following is large and traffic to our website soared after I took on social media (turned it over to a committee Feb 2013).

I ran the social media for the Tom Swift 100th anniversary convention, including Facebook and Twitter and making promotional videos. I tripled our web statistics in two months, with some huge spikes in traffic when I got Roger Ebert (movie critic) and Stan Lee (creator of Spiderman) to tweet about the convention.

I started Facebook, Twitter, and a YouTube channel for the Poway-Midland Railroad to remind fans of our hours and what equipment is running. These are now handled by a media committee as of March 2013.

I also worked part time for a social media firm where I update client’s blogs (often writing the content), made Facebook and Twitter posts, trying to increase their followings, and reaching out for blogger contacts, reviews, new clients, etc.

For The Importance of Being Earnest production at the Coronado Playhouse, I ran some fun campaigns on Facebook, such as the “What have you got in your handbag?” and the “running girl” campaign where I photoshopped our girl from our postcards and other publicity so she is running towards various San Diego landmarks.
